Héctor Palomo

Founding partner of PALOMO ABOGADOS in charge of the Corporate and Intellectual Property departments of the firm, recognized for his ability to comprehensively address complex cases in terms of legal and commercial strategy in both branches; providing effective solutions to clients in different areas and industries such as pharmaceutical, technology, consumer products, cosmetics and beverages, among others.

In the area of Corporate Law, he leads a team of lawyers, and has a solid knowledge of the regulations, so he advises national and international clients in different transactions, such as acquisition of companies, dissolution and liquidation of companies. As well as business strategies, anticipating possible future contingencies.

In the area of Intellectual Property, he advises clients mainly in actions related to trademark infringement, unfair competition, as well as piracy and counterfeiting of products in Guatemala and other Latin American countries.

He has been a consultant to the Ministry of Economy in Free Trade Agreement Negotiations, consultant of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on State Procurement, project consultant to the Ministry of Agriculture of Guatemala in the field of Biodiversity, as well as the National Council of Science and Technology in support of national inventors, among others.
